Rapper Tory Lanez of Canada was convicted guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the foot and received a 10-year prison term as a result. The event happened in 2020 after the two had left a party in Los Angeles. After being convicted guilty of three offenses involving firearms, Lanez has been imprisoned. Surgery was required to remove bullet fragments from Megan Thee Stallion's foot. The LA District Attorney claims that the verdict has made the issue of violence against women more clear. For Lanez, the prosecution had asked for a 13-year prison term.
