IPhone 15 leaked today

Alleged Online Leak of iPhone 15 USB-C Connector Parts images

Today's online leak of purported photos of the iPhone 15's USB-C connector ports is just another sign that Apple is getting ready to transition from the Lightning to the USB-C charging standard this year.

According to the condensed photographs below, which were posted by leakers @lipilipsi and @John011235 on X (previously Twitter), the USB-C connector ports are connected to the flexible PCB component parts that will be used in the regular iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Lightning will no longer be available on any 2023 iPhone 15 models; USB-C will be used instead. Apple is going to make the adjustment, according to dependable sources including Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, and others.

Apple will be able to comply with new rules adopted in the European Union thanks to the changeover. Due to these laws, Apple was forced to either change the design of all iPhones sold globally or create specific iPhones for the EU market.

It is anticipated that the iPhone 15 Pro models with USB-C connectors will offer faster data transfers than the ordinary iPhone 15 models, providing the Pro versions a competitive advantage.

Lumpy ShrimpAccording to ApplePro, only USB-C accessories that have been approved by the Apple Made for iPhone (MFi) program will be officially supported by iPhone 15 models. Foxconn, an Apple supplier, is said to be making MFi-certified EarPods and USB-C cables and other accessories.

The MFi USB-C certification might be used to only allow Apple-approved peripherals to use features like fast charging and high-speed data transfers. According to ShrimpApplePro, the data and charging speeds of cords without an MFi certification will be constrained.
