Cardi B's Thrown Microphone on eBay Sells for Close to $100,000

Cardi B unknowingly turned a simple microphone toss into a significant charitable donation of nearly $100,000. During her concert at Drai's Beach Club in Las Vegas, Cardi B threw her mic at an unruly fan, which went viral. Scott Fisher, the owner of audio production company The Wave, decided to auction off the microphone on eBay. After one week and 122 bids, the microphone sold for an impressive $99,900.

This incident occurred a few weeks after Cardi B threw the mic at a fan who had splashed ice water on her face during a performance. The fan had become overly enthusiastic after Cardi B had asked fans to lightly spray her with water to cool down from the summer heat.

Following the incident, a concertgoer filed a police report alleging battery, stating that they were struck by an item thrown from the stage. Although Cardi B was not explicitly mentioned in the report, the location of the alleged incident matched the venue where she was performing.

The microphone, which still functions properly, was initially listed for $500 on eBay. Fisher mentioned that the microphone originally cost $1,000. He plans to donate the proceeds from the sale to the Wounded Warrior Project and Friendship Circle Las Vegas, a local non-profit organization that supports individuals with special needs.
